The death toll from the Kahramanmaras Earthquake now exceeds 50,000 and millions of people are affected without a place to live, running water, heat, food and medical care. This is the third largest natural disaster in in the world during the 21^st century.

Mediterranean Magazine is working hand in hand with TACC – Turkish American Chamber of Commerce of the South by organizing live celebrity events in which direct donations can be made.

Thus far as of February, 25 2023 almost $5000 of $150,000 goal has been raised for the Turkiye Earthquake Relief Fund.

They provide:

• Support with Emergency Medical Supplies

• Provide Food

• Support the Emergency Workers on the front line

• Relief for displaced families and widows

Our first fundraiser event was held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at ONE 11 Event Venue in Boca Raton. We had some local B-level celebrities at the function which enabled us to attract attendees and potential donors.

Some celebrities local notables who attended included:

• Frankie “Sinatra” Barbato – Singer and Cousin to the Frank Sinatra Family

• Rick Sykes – Actor on Lifestyle TV Channel

• Andrea Garofalo – World Renowned Opera Tenor

• Feyza Altug – Consul General of Turkey to the US

It is our goal to raise enough funds to book more celebrities at the next event so that more donors will show up and make direct donations. 100% of the funds donated here will be used to book quality entertainers and promote a world class event to make a difference in Turkey.

The next event is slated for Monday, March 20, 2023 at “The Guest Restaurant” in North Miami Beach, Florida. The third and final event is slated for April 17^th, 2023 and we are still seeking a venue for that function.
